This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
Who we are and what this policy covers
9otify Technologies ("9otify", "we", "us" or "our") is a technology company based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. We provide CPaaS messaging, Information Security and AI services to businesses.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit 9otify.com (the "Website"), send us an enquiry, or otherwise contact us. For that personal data we act as the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
It does not cover data that our business customers process through our CPaaS, Information Security or AI services — for example, the recipients of messages a customer sends through our platform. That processing is governed by the service agreement and data-processing terms we sign with each customer, under which the customer is responsible for the data and we act on its instructions.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use the enquiry form we receive the details you enter:
- your name (required);
- your company name (optional);
- your work email address (required);
- the service you are interested in; and
- your message, together with anything you choose to include in it.
If you email sales@9otify.com or support@9otify.com, or contact us on social media, we receive your message, your contact details and anything else you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like every website, ours is served by a web server that keeps standard access logs: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of each request. These logs are maintained by our hosting provider and used for security and to keep the Website running.
Information stored on your device. While you type an enquiry, the Website saves an unsent draft in your browser’s session storage so that it is not lost if the page reloads. The draft stays on your device, is never sent to us until you press “Send Message”, and is deleted when you send the form or close the browser tab.
Please do not send us sensitive personal data — such as financial account details, health information or passwords — through the enquiry form. We do not need it to answer an enquiry.
Cookies and tracking
The Website does not set any cookies of its own and does not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tools. We do not build profiles of visitors or track you across other websites.
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. Google handles that data under its own privacy policy.
If we introduce cookies or analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
How we use your information
We use personal data only for the following purposes:
- to reply to your enquiry and send the information, proposal or quote you asked for;
- to provide support to existing customers;
- to manage and develop a business relationship with you or your organisation, if you choose to become a customer;
- to keep the Website secure, filter spam and automated abuse, and diagnose technical problems; and
- to comply with our legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell or rent personal data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
Why we are allowed to use it
When you submit the enquiry form or write to us, you voluntarily provide your personal data for the purpose of receiving a response, and we process it on the basis of your consent and for that specified purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect anything we did before it.
We may also process personal data without consent where the DPDP Act permits it — for example, to comply with a law, a court order or a request from a government authority.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run the Website and our business, and only as far as they need it to do so:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which receives enquiry-form submissions and delivers them to our sales inbox;
- Hostinger, which hosts the Website and keeps its server logs;
- our email provider, which stores the emails we send and receive; and
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces the Website uses.
We may also disclose personal data to our professional advisers (such as lawyers and auditors) under a duty of confidentiality; to law-enforcement agencies, regulators or courts when the law requires it; or to a buyer or successor if 9otify is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.
International transfers
Some of the providers listed above, including FormSubmit and Google, may store or process data on servers outside India. Where we transfer personal data outside India we do so in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions the Government of India notifies under it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as we need it to respond to you and to manage any relationship that follows. If you do not become a customer, we delete or anonymise your enquiry within 24 months of our last interaction, unless a law requires us to keep it longer. Customer records are kept for the duration of the contract and afterwards for as long as required by tax, accounting and other applicable laws.
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period in line with its standard practice. The form draft in your browser is deleted when you send the form or close the tab.
How we protect it
The Website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people at 9otify who need it to do their jobs. We apply reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the nature of the data, as required by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected as the law requires.
Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act and the rules made under it, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we have used it;
- correct, complete or update personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- erase personal data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for;
- withdraw your consent to further processing at any time;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and
- have your grievance redressed by us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@9otify.com from the address you used to contact us. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
Children
The Website and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The Website links to our profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and X, and may link to other websites. Those sites are run by third parties with their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we change how the Website works or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use personal data you have already given us, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
